Weather & Emergency Alerts
In the event of a weather or emergency alert for the GCS community, we will post the original alert and ongoing alert updates on this webpage. We are pleased to report there are no weather or emergency alerts at this time.
When it is necessary to cancel school or have a delayed opening, the announcement will also be made by 6:30 a.m. over the following radio and television stations.

In the event of a delayed opening, all bus schedules will run two hours later than usual. In the event of a two hour delay, the morning kindergarten session will be canceled. In some cases in which a delayed opening is called, school may still be canceled if conditions do not improve. If this proves necessary, such information will be announced over the radio and television by 8:30 a.m.
